Be the Best Homemaker

July 10, 2020 We all have many tasks that we complete around our homes each day. It does not matter how big our homes are. We all have to clean, and maintain our homes. There are six tips that will help you become the best homemaker. In my opinion, a homemaker is anyone who manages and takes care of their home. A homemaker makes sure that the environment inside of the home works well for their family. Successful homemaking is a process that is learned through trial and error. You need to experiment with different systems until you discover what works in your household. It is okay to make mistakes, for we can learn from them.
In today’s world homemakers wear many hats. Most people have a full time job outside of the home. Some people may work from home, in addition to being a full time homemaker, and parent. There are many different systems that you can implement to help you become a good homemaker. The important thing to remember is that it should work best with your environment.
6 Tips to help you become the best homemaker:

  1. Implement a Daily Block Schedule. It will improve your productivity. I recommend using the system that Jordan Page ( uses: a Block Schedule. Jordan is a productivity expert. The Block schedule will help devide your day into chunks of time. You can create your own Block Schedule by following these steps:

A. List all of the tasks that you complete each day.

B. Break up your day into sections according to the the tasks that you usually do during that time of the day. For example: 12:00-12:30 Lunch

C. Match the activity/task with the time block that you wish to complete it. The following is an example of a Block Schedule: 6:00-9:00 Morning Routine 9:00-12:00Cleaning Routine

2. Sweep up your kitchen floor

3. Clean something each day

4. Make sure the dishes are clean every night

5. Take time for yourself

6. Be consistent and follow your your Block Schedule. This will establish a set routine.

Once you create your own schedule, I encourage you to add it to your phone. I use a free app called “To Do.” You can keep track of all your daily tasks using this app. You may wish to set reoccurring daily alarms using your phone to coincide with each Block of time.

If you follow these six easy tips, you will be on your way to becoming the best homemaker. The best part is that you will also have less stress, be more productive, and be happier. Your family will also be happy to have a regular routine. Good luck on your journey!
